I wasn't planning on naming the book Brave & Beautiful or even Gods Pearl Girl for that matter... A friend of mine, Kysa, asked me to speak at their spring women's banquet and needed a theme. These words leapt out of my heart... for all of the other women, of course. Why is it so hard for us to accept what God says
about us? After all, He would never say something he doesn't mean. So we named the ...event Brave & Beautiful. I shared funny stories of how hard it is for me to get a pedicure and the challenge of shaving my legs. Then I shared what true beauty and courage look like through the eyes of faith.
Shortly after the event I sensed God challenging me to change the title from The Great Wait to B&B... I thought of what other people might think... but couldn't shake it. It's what God is saying to his Girls.
It's time for our faith to be the most attractive thing about us and our beauty to radiate from a place of trust and security in the Almighty! Our lives came from him... He's the designer... We are what He says we are!
